Register for the Association for Rural & Small Libraries Virtual Conference

Thursday, July 30, 2020

Soar with Libraries imageRegistration is now open for the Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL) Conference, which will be offered virtually September 28–October 2, 2020. This is a special opportunity for staff at many of Wisconsin’s libraries to connect with quality content and engagement on topics highly relevant to their work without additional travel commitments. The 2020 conference theme is "SOAR: Sharing Our Amazing Resources." Details on the schedule and sessions descriptions can be found at https://www.arsl.org/2020-con.

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) will provide scholarships for ARSL conference registration for library staff working in public libraries with municipal populations less than 25,000. Scholarships will be coordinated through regional public library systems to facilitate the group registration process.

If you work at a small or rural library and are interested in a scholarship to attend the conference, contact your library system today! Registration is recommended by August 14 to secure spots as the conference may reach capacity.

DPI scholarships are intended to expand access and promote equity in professional learning opportunities for Wisconsin library workers. We encourage individuals who may have financial support for continuing education available through their library or library system to explore those pathways before the DPI scholarship.
