Dear District Administrator,
The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has posted guidance on counting online instructional minutes for 2020 summer membership. Under Administrative Rule PI 17 and Emergency Rule 2003, public school districts may offer online academic summer school classes to all K-12 students, including non-credit high school classes. The statutory option to offer credit-bearing online classes for grades 7-12 remains available. Online summer school membership guidance is posted to the DPI’s School Financial Services webpage.
