The data collected in the WISEdata Snapshot is used in the following ways:

  • public reporting requirements vis the WISEdash Public Portal
  • federal reporting, including IDEA Child Count, Career and Technical Education, and ESSA
  • some funding allocations, such as Perkins, IDEA flow-through, and preschool allocations
  • 2023-24 School and District Report Cards
  • 2023-24 Joint Federal Notifications

This data collection increases volume, and we are monitoring our systems. If you experience any difficulties, please submit a help desk ticket as it assists us in tracking down the problem. I also want to acknowledge that this is a lot of data and a lot of work for you and your district, and I also want to express my appreciation for your attention to this data submission, as it is critical for our ability to facilitate state- and federally-mandated reporting as required for funding. Thank you for all you do.

Sincerely,

John W. Johnson, PhD
Deputy State Superintendent
