Administrative Rules Hearing – PI 11 (Children with disabilities)

Event Description

This preliminary public hearing and comment period is to consider promulgation of administrative rules under two statements of scope issued by the Department of Public Instruction:

• A proposed permanent rule to amend ch. PI 11, relating to reevaluation criteria for orthopedic impairment, traumatic brain injury, and significant developmental delay disability categories.
• A proposed permanent and emergency rule to amend ch. PI 11, relating to specific learning disability evaluations in and homeschool and private school settings

The Department will hold the public hearing by teleconference only. Written comments received no later than the date of the hearing will be given the same consideration as testimony presented at the hearing.

Written comments on the statements of scope may be made via the Legislature’s webpage for submitting public comment.
