Event Description

This hearing is to accept public testimony on proposed permanent rules related to expanding the assessment of pedagogical knowledge in educator preparation programs.

The objective of the proposed rule is to provide flexibility in the assessment of pedagogical knowledge as a condition for completion of an educator preparation program under s. PI 34.021.

Those intending to testify at the hearing will be required to present photo identification at the security desk near the Webster Street public entrance. Those using the building’s Butler Street handicapped accessible entrance should press a doorbell for admittance and check in with security. Written comments received no later than the date of the hearing will be given the same consideration as testimony presented at the hearing.

A copy of the proposed rules is available on the department's Administrative Rules webpage or the Wisconsin Legislature Rules site. Written comments on the proposed permanent rule may be made via the department’s form for submitting public comment.
