SDBAB will hold hearings on proposed Palmyra-Eagle dissolution

MADISON — The School District Boundary Appeals Board (SDBAB) will conduct four hearings to collect public testimony related to School District Boundary Appeal No. 2020-02, Palmyra-Eagle Area School District Dissolution, as provided under Wis. Stat. sec. 117.10. Invited speakers will have the first opportunity to testify, followed by other members of the public. Written comments received no later than Dec. 5 will be given the same consideration as testimony presented at a hearing. A dedicated email address will be created to receive written comments and will posted on the DPI's webpage relating to the dissolution decision, https://dpi.wi.gov/sms/palmyra-eagle-dissolution.

At an orientation meeting prior to the first hearing, SDBAB members will have the opportunity to hear information from Department of Public Instruction staff and to make initial process-related decisions. The law requires the SDBAB to issue a decision on the proposed dissolution before January 15, 2020.
