Palmyra-Eagle Dissolution

On April 8, 2019, the school board of the Palmyra-Eagle Area School District passed a resolution to consider dissolution of the school district. On July 1, 2019, the school board passed a resolution ordering dissolution of the district, in accordance with Wis. Stat., § 117.10(2). It is now the responsibility of the School District Boundary Appeal Board (SDBAB) to review the school board action and issue an order either affirming or denying the school board's dissolution order. The SDBAB order must be issued before January 15, 2020.

The SDBAB voted to deny the order of dissolution of the Palmyra-Eagle School District (PEASD) on a 6-1 vote.

The motion to deny will be translated into an order, and submitted and published prior to the January 15 deadline.  After that, the SDBAB's role is concluded, and all subsequent decisions and discussions are to be had by the PEASD Board.
