Single Parent: Career Education, WISEdata

WISEdata icon

Single Parent is a characteristic that denotes whether a student who is unmarried or legally separated has sole or joint custody of a minor child or children at any point during the reporting year. This also includes pregnant female students who are unmarried or legally separated.

Single Parent status is required for CTE data reporting and therefore is required for all 11th and 12th-grade students, Participants, and Concentrators, from Carl Perkins-funded districts. Submit a Yes (True) value for the Single Parent data element characteristic when it applies to the student. If it's submitted as true, it will display as a characteristic in the Student Details section in WISEdata.

USES: Single Parent field collects information about the student's situation for Career and Technical Education (CTE) reporting associated to the Carl Perkins Funds.
