Welcome to State Superintendent's Business Friends of Education

What is State Superintendent’s Business Friends of Education?

The State Superintendent’s Business Friends of Education (BFoE) is a network of businesses and organizations from any industry who support their local schools and work to raise the collective interest of business-education partnerships. BFoE promotes partnerships and showcases the commitment of a business or an organization to helping all Wisconsin public school students’ graduate college and career ready. Business friends value talent development, commitment to the community, and fostering future employees and Wisconsin-based employment opportunities.

The State Superintendent is seeking applications to recognize businesses who have developed partnerships with their local school districts in the areas of:
  • career development
  • volunteering and training
  • providing services, materials, and supplies
  • mentoring and hiring youth

All applicants will be considered with recognition provided at the bronze, silver, gold, and platinum levels. Degree of involvement and company size are examples of considerations used to differentiate.

To become a Business Friend of Education,  access the online application from the menu to the left. Once you agree to the assurances, tell us how your business or organization partners with a local school or district.

Note: This awards program is designed to recognize for profit and nonprofit businesses and organizations who collaborate with schools and districts, but who aren’t connected to education as a part of their mission. Applications from public and government agencies or companies that typically serve students and education are not currently being accepted.
