IDEA Complaint Decision 08-039
On April 8, 2008, the Department of Public Instruction received a complaint under state and federal special education law from XXXXX against the Racine Unified School District. This is the departments decision regarding that complaint. The issues are whether the district, during the 2007-2008 school year, properly notified a parent of the April 2008 individualized education program (IEP) team meeting, including scheduling the meeting at a mutually agreed on time and place, and properly notified the parent of the purpose of the April 2008 IEP team meeting.
