Educator Effectiveness Revamped for 22-23 School Year
 

The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) is pleased to announce that new flexibilities, supports, and revised documents are now available to educators and schools implementing the state Educator Effectiveness (EE) model. Streamlining the system, expanding supports, and creating clarity were the focus of these changes.

  • Reduced calibration requirements for evaluators of teachers.
  • Reduced and simpler orientation requirements for new teachers and principals.
  • Self-review as evidence options.
  • Combined student learning objective and professional practice goal option.
  • Reduced time to complete calibration.
New EE tools include:
  • Free professional development library. As part of the EE system, all educators in the EE system will be able to access a free, extensive library of professional development materials through LinkedIn Learning over the next three years. Examples of curated resources will be made available. Educators who are interested in requesting a subscription from the DPI may do so at: LinkedIn Learning Subscription Signup
  • .Online certification training tool. Certification may be completed at a time that works for the evaluator. This tool is available for the 22-23 school year and replaces Teachscape. At this time, certification through this tool is valid only for this school year. Certification training takes four hours to complete, 36 hours less than Teachscape.
