Release of Final Joint Federal Notifications

Dear Colleagues,

Final Joint Federal Notification (JFN) packets are now available in SAFE. If you need help accessing SAFE, please visit the SAFE landing page or complete a WISE Help Ticket. The joint federal notification packets include:

1. District Summary Reports.
2. Inividuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) local educational agency (LEA) Determinations.
3. Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Accountability Reports.
4. ESSA Progress-to-Exit Reports for schools with a Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) or Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI) identifications. Progress-to-Exit Reports include an exit status for all 2018-19 identifications.
5. IDEA Racial Equity in Special Education Reports.

You can find more information on ESSA accountability on the ESSA Accountability webpage and the ESSA School Identifications webpage and information on IDEA LEA Determinations in the Special Education District Profiles.

Because the identifications are now available to the public, you may share your ESSA and IDEA identification status. Please note that LEA Determinations Reports and Racial Equity in Special Education Reports may contain personally identifiable information and should not be shared with the public.
