WISEgrants Deadlines, ESEA Monitoring Updates, and New Resources for LEAs

Dear District Administrators,

Please see the following updates and information:

2019-20 Applications for Titles I-A, I-D, II-A, and IV-A past due in WISEgrants

The 2019-20 applications for Titles I-A, I-D, II-A, and IV-A were due in WISEgrants on August 30. If you have not yet submitted an application for the above grants, please do so as soon as possible. LEAs can direct any questions regarding their applications to the following:

Title I, Part A: The LEA’s Title I Consultant
Title I, Part D, Neglected and Delinquent: Kristine Nadolski
Title II, Part A: Abdallah Bendada
Title IV, Part A: Emily Holder
 
2019-20 Title III-A Application now open in WISEgrants

The 2019-20 Title III-A application is now available in WISEgrants. The Title III-A application was due on September 30 for LEAs choosing to manage their own funds and is due on October 31 for Consortium Leaders. If you are an LEA choosing to manage your own funds and have not yet submitted an application, please do so as soon as possible. All Title III-A related questions should be directed to Audrey Lesondack.

Title I-A Comparability Report now open in WISEgrants

The Title I-A Comparability Report is now open in WISEgrants. Please complete and submit the report by October 31. LEAs with only one school per gradespan are exempt from the Comparability Requirement.

ESEA Coordinator Timeline: New Resource for LEAs!

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has developed the ESEA Coordinator Timeline to help LEAs manage and track the many ESEA requirements and deadlines that exist throughout the school year. LEAs are encouraged to make their own copy of this workbook so that it can be customized to meet their needs. More information regarding the ESEA Coordinator Timeline can be found at the top of this webpage.

Updated USDE Guidance on Title I-A Supplement not Supplant Requirement

The United States Department of Education (ED) has released updated guidance on the Title I, Part A Supplement not Supplant Requirement. Visit this webpage for more information.

2019-20 ESEA Consolidated Monitoring Guidance Document now available

The 2019-20 ESEA Consolidated Monitoring Guidance Document is now available on this webpage. LEAs that have been selected for ESEA Monitoring for the 2019-20 school year were notified by DPI at the end of September.
