Coming Next Week: Updates to WISEdash Public and Joint Federal Notifications

Thursday, March 3, 2022

Dear District Administrators,

Next week, the WISEdash Public Portal will be updated with certified data from both the 2020-21 and 2021-22 school years. Additionally, joint federal notification materials will be considered final, with final versions posted in SAFE.

On March 8, you will find the WISEdash Public Portal updated with these data and dashboards:

  • Enrollment (2021-22)
  • Graduation rate (2020-21)
  • Attendance, with absenteeism graphs (2020-21)
  • Dropout rate (2020-21)
  • Discipline (2020-21)
  • AP exams (2020-21)
  • ACT Graduates (2020-21)
  • Graduation Requirements (2021-22)
  • Career and Technical Education (2020-21)
  • ESSA school level expenditure data (2020-21)

Then, on March 10, final joint federal notification packets will be available in our secure reporting app, SAFE. To access your district’s packet, go to SAFE. If you need help accessing the system, please visit the SAFE landing page or complete a Help Ticket. The joint notification packet includes:

  • ESSA Progress to Exit Reports for schools with existing ESSA identifications. Please note that only CSI - Low Graduation Rate schools will be able to exit this year. Updated Progress to Exit Reports with additional exit criterion data will be available for identified schools in June 2022.
  • IDEA LEA Determinations.
  • (New-to-SAFE) IDEA Racial Equity in Special Education Reports, which are available for each district and include identifications and required actions, if any, for districts identified with racial disproportionality in special education identification, discipline, and/or placement.
  • District Summary Report.

Please note that LEA Determinations Reports and Racial Equity in Special Education Reports should not be shared with the public, as they are not redacted and could contain personally identifiable information.

We encourage you to review all reports, regardless of identification status. You may have questions about the data to be released in the WISEdash Public Portal, or about aspects of joint federal notifications (JFN). Staff and resources below are available to assist you:

Sincerely,

John W. Johnson, PhD
