Overview

The purpose of Title II programs is to increase student achievement and close achievement gaps by offering professional development opportunities in core academic areas.
Title II funding is used to recruit, train, and prepare candidates to become effective teachers in core academic areas. The programs offer opportunities for K-12 and higher education systems to form strong partnerships to develop and provide programs that are challenging for all students.
