Keeping Kids Safe Online Elementary AI Safety Storybook 2024

Elementary School: AI Safety Storybook -- NEW DUE DATE DECEMBER 31, 2024

Contest: Have students (individually or in groups) create a short story book or comic strip that teaches a lesson about online safety and the responsible use of AI. They can illustrate their stories and include characters like friendly robots or AI helpers.

Output: The short story book or comic strip must be able to be uploaded to this form. This could be in any format chosen by the educator or student.

Why it works: This encourages creativity and helps younger students understand complex concepts through storytelling.

AI Safety Storybook Contest Rubric

The rubric below provides the criteria that will be used to evaluate submissions for the AI Safety Storybook Contest. Each criterion is rated on a scale from 1 to 3, with 1 being the lowest score and 3 being the highest. The total possible score is 15 points.

What can we win?  Winning schools will be awarded as follows:

Grand prize:  Dash Robot 12 pack

All winning AI Safety Storybooks will be featured on DPI's Keeping Kids Safe Online website for the duration of the school year!
