Teach music from Wisconsin artists with Re/sound: Songs of Wisconsin, a collection of educational resources for middle-grade music programs. A collaboration between PBS Wisconsin Education and Wisconsin School Music Association, the collection features interviews with and performances by a culturally diverse array of Wisconsin musicians, along with educator guides to support teaching with the collection.
Re/sound recently welcomed two new additions to the collection. Lavanyaa Surendar practices a form of Southern Indian classical music out of Brookfield. She emphasizes the ways music enhances communication and defies language barriers. Black River Revue combines the talents of four friends who put their own Midwestern twist on bluegrass. The group is often inspired by the places they grew up.
