Educators Encouraged To Apply To Be Part of the PBS Media Literacy Cohort

Tuesday, May 24, 2022

PBS Wisconsin Education invites Wisconsin educators to apply to be part of the PBS Media Literacy Cohort. During the 2022-2023 school year, cohort members will work together with PBS Wisconsin Education to earn PBS Media Literacy Educator Certification.

This certification recognizes PreK-12 educators who demonstrate their ability to help learners think critically about media consumption and creation. It is broken out into eight micro-credentials on the Digital Promise platform that cover essential competencies.

As a cohort member, you will receive support for completing the micro-credentials from peers and PBS Wisconsin Education staff; recognition for your expertise from a trusted educational media organization; opportunities to enhance your professional portfolio; and more!

To be eligible to participate you must be a PreK-12 educator employed in Wisconsin. PBS Wisconsin Education strongly encourages educators to apply for the cohort with another educator in their school or CESA. Priority will be given to those educators who apply as a pair. Library media specialists are encouraged to pair with a classroom educator in their building.

Learn more and access the application on the PBS Wisconsin Education Media Literacy webpage. Space in the cohort is limited. Apply by July 20, 2022.
