Fourth Annual Black History Education Conference Starts Next Week

Tuesday, February 8, 2022

There is still time to register to attend the Black History Education Conference: “I Am Somebody”, taking place online this year on February 18-19.

Planned by Andreal Davis, CEO and Founder of Cultural Practices That Are Relevant, and organized by the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Professional Learning and Community Education (PLACE) program, the conference provides a venue where educators across Wisconsin and the country share policies, practices, programs, and procedures that have proven effective in promoting high levels of achievement for those often being underserved in school systems and communities.

This year, the conference’s journey will be guided by what is known as the B.R.E.A.T.H. Board, which outlines how to organize action steps toward a goal of breathing new life into instructional practices and children.

For more information on the conference and information on registering, visit the UW-Madison/PLACE webpage here.
