As the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction continues its work in promoting the education profession and attracting more people to the field, it is excited to share a name change of one of its teams at the forefront of educator development.
On Aug. 30, the Teacher Education, Professional Development and Licensing (TEPDL) team officially changed its name to the Licensing, Educator Advancement and Development (LEAD) team. The name change was brought forward by DPI staff as it combined with the previous Educator Development and Support team to expand its focus.
The LEAD team will focus on the continuum of educator development in addition to other priority areas, such as attracting people to the profession and preparing them, license acquisition, evaluation, and professional development.
