FAFSA completion rates in Wisconsin are at an alarmingly low rate, and students are in need of financial assistance to ensure their goal of a post-secondary education are realized. If you have students in your district who need assistance completing their FAFSA or could benefit from grant and scholarship opportunities, the DPI’s Wisconsin Educational Opportunity Programs (WEOP) can help. WEOP offers FREE services to students and families throughout the state including:
-
financial aid application assistance
-
college admission
-
one -on-one academic, career, or personal advising
-
setting up a personal educational plan
-
transition strategies from 8th grade to high school as well as from 12th grade to college
Based on your location (see below, or visit the WEOP directory web page), you can contact one of the five WEOP offices to access these free supports for students. WEOP staff will meet virtually over Google Meet, Zoom, TEAMS, and more, or by phone to support students.
