The Wisconsin Retired Educators’ Association (WREA) Foundation is now accepting applications for its $2,000 grants to support programs implemented in the 2015-16 or 2016-17 school years.
Teachers, principals, or superintendents must apply to the Challenge Award Program by February 1. Five awards will be given – one in each of the WREA’s districts.
Over the ten years of the program, grants (which go to elementary, middle, or high schools depending on the year) have supported projects including:
- A diversity club
- A leadership camp
- Putting the fun back into science
- A video game development class
More than one individual (teacher, principal, or superintendent) from a public high school may submit an application for different programs.
The program’s webpage includes more information and the simple application form – available as an online form or as a fillable PDF.
