Core Elements of Personalized Learning

Personalized learning is transforming how students learn and is creating systemic shifts in how teachers educate students. As schools design personalized learning classrooms, the following three elements are commonly found at the core of the design work: learner profiles, customized learning paths, and proficiency based progress. The videos featured below highlight each element.

The Institute for Personalized Learning, a division of CESA #1 has developed a framework of personalized learning, which is built on these three core elements and includes other essential elements needed for changing instruction and improving student learning.
