Event Description

The Wisconsin Standards for Science and the Wisconsin Standards for Social Studies both require students to learn through the use of the inquiry cycle. DPI Social Studies consultant Kris McDaniel, Science consultant Kevin Anderson, and Environmental Studies consultant Victoria Rydberg have been working together to determine overlap in terms, common resources, and support for our elementary and middle school educators who may not have a science or social studies background. This will be a hands-on workshop for educators to see the connection between science & social studies expectations, and brainstorm ways to "inquiry-ize" their K-8 classrooms. Cost is $35 per person and includes lunch.

This workshop is appropriate for: K-8 classroom teachers, curriculum specialists, Library Media specialists. We strongly suggest attending as a district team (although it is not required).

Note, there are two dates/venues, which will offer the same information. Choose one date only.
