We accept a level of risk every day. Because some risks can be financially devastating, transferring risk to an insurance company manages that risk. Consumer fraud, scams and identity theft impact consumers of all ages. If a child becomes the victim of identity theft, the financial impact can go undetected for years. In this professional development workshop, educators will learn what students and clients need to know about these topics directly from industry experts. We will take a look at the insurance industry and the protections it offers. Learn more about identity theft and fraud: the types, how it happens, warning signs, prevention tips and what to do if it happens.
