Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching

UPDATE: PAEMST Has Paused

Since 1983 the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has provided coordination of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) program at the state level. On July 18, 2025, the National Science Foundation (NSF) announced that it will pause the PAEMST program until further notice.
