This collaborative session is designed for district teams or individuals involved in Social Studies standards rollout. There are significant shifts in pedagogy and student expectations with the revised WI Standards for Social Studies. This session will introduce those shifts (formatting, interdisciplinary nature of social studies, comparison to previous standards), provide time to unpack and repack the standards, and learn about the inquiry arc, an essential part of quality social studies teaching and learning.

CESA 4 will be holding more WI Standards for Social Studies workshops, and plans to poll the attendees at this session on which additional sessions they would find valuable.
