Evidence-Based Practices means the use of programs, practices, and procedures with the best available evidence are balanced with the fit to the school's and district's population and values.

Defining Elements

Evidence based practices are:

  • applied across all key system features
  • implemented as designed and intended
  • selected collaboratively through use of local data
  • culturally responsive
  • supported through policy, resource allocation, training and coaching, and accountability measures and structures
