Bilingual and English Learner Education

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction supports school districts in educating students who are English learners (EL). We believe in the assets our multilingual students bring to school and work with districts to honor those assets while preparing students for future education and the workplace.

2022-2023 Title III and Bilingual-Bicultural Conference

This year's Title III/Bilingual-Bicultural Conference in collaboration with the DPI Special Education Team will be held in Wisconsin Dells on March 9-10, from 9am-3pm. 

Complete information can be found on the conference flyer . Please share this with EL/BL Educators, Special Education Educators, School Psychologists, School and District Leaders and any other relevant stakeholders.  We encourage planning for teams to attend and engage in a rich interactive- workshop training surrounding developing culturally and linguistically sustaining multi-level systems of support specific for multilingual learners who may have or have a disability.   Register on myQuickReg here.
