AICPA/WICPA Hosting National Advanced Accounting Education Event In Wisconsin

Saturday, January 20, 2018

The Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accounting (WICPA) will be hosting for the second consecutive year a summer professional development session for Accounting Education Instructors.  Our Wisconsin event is scheduled for July 31 through August 2 at the WICPA office in Waukesha.  Wisconsin high school accounting educators are strongly encouraged to register immediately for this event!

You can become registered in any state, not just where you teach.  Space will limited in Wisconsin so don't wait to get registered!  Not only is this three-day program free, but you'll also receive a $200 stipend for attending the full program.

By signing up to be part of the Accounting Pilot & Bridge Project you'll learn how to bring your students more advanced, engaging accounting content and inspire the next generation of CPAs.

Exclusively for high school teachers, those that complete the full program will also receive:

  • Daily lesson plans and assignments
  • Pre-written exams with answer keys
  • A textbook, including teacher's notes and PowerPoint presentations
  • Refresher videos and webcasts
  • Continuous support from APBP trainers

During the summer of 2017, the American Institute of Certified Public Accounting Association (AICPA) acquired the high school accounting curriculum training program. The AICPA Foundation, whose mission is to advance accounting education, funded the acquisition.  We anticipate major updates and enhancements to be initiated and implemented as this accounting education program moves forward.
