Business & Information Technology Education Labor Market Information

Tuesday, May 15, 2018

The Job Center of Wisconsin is a primary source for Business & Information Technology educators to engage community stakeholders and student learners with information to support conversations about topics such as Labor Market Information, Education & Training, Workforce Events, and Featured Wisconsin Industries. The website supports a user login process to develop a customizable Labor Market Information page referred to as MyLMI. A login is not required to access all the available tools and resources. Many of our schools are working through Academic & Career Planning activities to connect students with Job Center of Wisconsin resources.

On the national scene, LinkedIn posted information recently about data that is available through their LinkedIn Economic Graph supporting conversations about the skills gap using analytics to both identify and quantify points of reference for professionals and employers. Our business & information technology educators may find resources such as these state and national examples as useful components over the upcoming summer break that supports numerous professional development opportunities to examine how our Wisconsin Standards for Business & Information Technology can be successfully implemented in their local school district. Visit the Wisconsin Education Calendar and other related calendars such as the Career & Technical Education Calendar to learn more about upcoming professional development opportunities.
