Career & Technical Education on the Frontier

Thursday, March 22, 2018

As the number of Business & Information Technology Education postings increase moving into the spring, please be sure to direct any incoming staff members to join our WI DPI Business & IT Education / FBLA / WEBIT and WI DPI Personal Financial Literacy PLC Google Communities.  Also, members may need to re-join the community if changing school districts and you are affiliated with these communities through your school Google Account.  Any changes in FBLA Adviser status may be reported to our Wisconsin FBLA state office using the Wisconsin Local Chapter Contact Survey and the national FBLA-PBL office should also be notified so important communications are properly directed to your chapter.

CTE on the Frontier: Strengthening the Rural CTE Teacher Pipeline was developed through the New Skills for Youth initiative, a partnership of the Council of Chief State School Officers, Advance CTE and Education Strategy Group, generously funded by JPMorgan Chase & Co.  Advance CTE released the fourth, and final, installment in the CTE on the Frontier series, which examines challenges and strategies for expanding access to high-quality career pathways in rural areas. CTE on the Frontier: Strengthening the Rural CTE Teacher Pipeline explores one of the most pressing challenges rural schools and institutions face: strengthening the pipeline of qualified Career Technical Education (CTE) teachers and faculty.
