STEM Education Grants for Business & Information Technology Education Programs

Thursday, October 25, 2018

As referenced in the National Business Education Association policy statement "This We Believe About the Role of Business Education in STEM," educators in this career and technical education (CTE) program area may have a vital role in preparing our future workforce toward STEM careers.

In support of CTE programs, the Department of Public Instruction is pleased to announce a Career and Technical Education (CTE) competitive grant for schools to address non-traditional fields or occupations (NTO) in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. Only CTE departments who are current recipients of Carl Perkins formula funds (either directly or through a consortium) are eligible to apply. There is a minimum of $3,000, with a maximum of $7,000 per application.  We know some of our CTE programs have disproportionate female enrollment and this might be an opportunity to implement an innovative idea or program. The deadline to apply is November 15, 2018 and the grant will be for the period of January 1, 2019 - June 30, 2019.
