WICPA 2018 High School Educator Accounting Symposium

Tuesday, September 11, 2018

It has been another amazing year of activity support from the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants Educational Foundation that has provided professional development, student activities and financial support for our Wisconsin high school business and information technology programs.

The upcoming 17th Annual High School Educators Accounting Symposium on November 9, 2018 will be held at the Madison Marriott West Hotel.  This professional development event will directly impact student success by providing the tools, ideas, and resources you need to enhance the classroom experience for students while promoting their achievement in a wide range of career areas that rely upon the fundamentals of accounting.  Potential attendees may include business educators, student teachers, guidance counselors and school administrators who are involved in educating students in accounting, business, career awareness and who are looking for community partnerships, trending industry updates, curriculum ideas and new tools to better serve their students.  Attendees will be eligible to apply for an Accounting Career Awareness Grant of up to $2,500.

As accounting education instructors displayed below begin the school year implementing training components of the AICPA Accounting Program for Business the Profession the upcoming symposium will be a great opportunity for the attendees to share their experiences. Listed below is a brief agenda for the upcoming symposium; however, additional session details and registration can be referenced on the WICPA events catalog.
