2026 SFSP Training

All sponsors are required to have key administrative and operational staff review the lessons pertinent to their positions. Complete the certificate at the end of each lesson to receive an email confirming completion of the lesson. Sponsors may use these lessons to provide training to site staff and volunteers, however sponsor specific policies and procedures must also be covered and documented prior to operation.

Administrative Training Lessons: Training for those responsible for applying for the SFSP, determining site eligibility, determining participant eligibility, ensuring training, site monitoring and civil rights requirements are met, as well as filing claims for reimbursement and maintaining financial records.
SFSP Program Overview Brief overview of the SFSP, how organizations can participate, and how it is administered (For New Sponsors Only).	Application Process Review the Application Process for 2026.	Sponsor & Site Eligibility Learn what type of organizations are eligible to participate in the SFSP and how to determine site eligibility.
Participant Eligibility Learn how to determine and document individual child eligibility for the SFSP (For Camps & Conditional Non-Congregate Sites Only). Operational Training Lessons: Training for those who are responsible for ensuring meals meet meal pattern requirements, documenting production and crediting information, procurement of food and supplies, and ensuring meals are accurately counted for program reimbursement.

A recorded webinar providing 2026 SFSP Application Updates is posted below. As in previous years, this webinar reviews the key elements of the SFSP Application and updates made from the previous year.
A live webinar will be scheduled for April, providing a short review of program requirements, program updates, and provide sponsors the opportunity to ask questions.
