Winter Reading Challenge

Get ready to travel through time with winter reading! This year the winter reading challenge is: 100 years of reading! That’s right! We are starting in 1920 and ending in 2020! The goal is to pick a book either published or set in each decade--Example: 1930s--Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck was published in 1937, The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah is set in the 1930’s. Pick at least 7 decades to complete the challenge! The challenge ends March 29, 2025.

Contact us at wtbbl@milwaukee.gov or 414-286-3045 / 1-800-242-8822 to get signed up for the challenge. We can mail you a Large/Print Braille sheet with the instructions. You can also have the sheet emailed to you. Take a look at the end of the newsletter when you receive it to find some ideas about what to read or give us a call. We can help you find some books!
