2023-24 Career Readiness Community of Practice

Revitalizing Futures: Navigating Wisconsin’s ACP Requirements

The late pandemic has left many school districts out of compliance with the Education for Employment state statute, which requires all school districts in Wisconsin to have a plan on how Academic and Career Planning (ACP) is being implemented for students. This plan must be updated every year, approved by the school board, posted on the district’s website, and shared with parents and caregivers.

This timely community of practice, offered in partnership with CESAs, invites school districts to join a supportive environment to create or update your ACP plan! By the end of these sessions, using templates provided by your facilitator, you will have:

  • An ACP Plan for your district that fulfills the requirements of the law and DPI administrative rule
  • An executive brief and a slide deck presentation of your plan ready to share with your board of directors for approval
  • Content that is ready to be uploaded to your district’s website and shared with parents and caregivers as well as industry and community partners!

Most importantly, you will have a solid plan on how to ensure your students are ready to make good career and education decisions once they graduate from your district!
