Wisconsin Document Depository Program

Your Connection to State Government

The Wisconsin Document Depository Program is a statutorily mandated program (Wisconsin Statutes, Sections 35.81- 35.84) that requires Wisconsin state agencies to provide copies of their documents to preserve and make available a record of major state government programs. Documents are made available in two ways, at depository libraries and online through the Wisconsin Digital Archives.

Find out more about the  historical background of the depository program and visit the directory to see a complete listing of designated depository libraries located throughout Wisconsin.

Go to Information for Depository Libraries to see document distribution shipping lists and the depository library directory.
