About the Capital Science & Engineering Fair

CSEF Logo

The Capital Science & Engineering Fair was established to provide high school students from South Central Wisconsin the opportunity to showcase their research (grades 9-12 public, private, and home school are eligible). The annual fair for 2022 was March 12, 2022 at the Madison Central Library (201 W Mifflin St., Madison, WI) - stay tuned for next year's date. Flyer with details on the 2022 CSEF. The fair inspires enthusiasm for science and engineering research among Wisconsin students. It provides a support system to assist students as they actively participate in science and engineering endeavors. Students can now begin to submit notice of interestand registration for 2023 (due ~ Jan 15, 2023).

Participants also compete for an opportunity to enter the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair and the Badger State Science & Engineering Fair (for which all participants may register). ISEF forms here. We have 7 Wisconsin students going in 2022!

Support for how to complete the CSEF forms that connect to ISEF can be found in this video (from Karen Lindholm-Rynkiewicz in Muskego-Norway).
