Summer Teacher Training Institute

Event Description

For more than two decades, the WATDA Foundation has held this free training to help transportation teachers in Wisconsin. This year's Institute is July 10-11 with a possible July 9 pre-Institute for new automotive teachers. Here are the reasons you might want to register for this free training: 

1. Industry experts: WATDA strives for contemporary, top-notch session content to help you to stay current with the industry and bring that knowledge back to your classrooms and labs.
2. Industry competency: WATDA provides ASE Test prep which equals professional growth.
3. Manufacturer training: WATDA routinely has manufacturer experts deliver contemporary and state-of-the-art training. In the recent past this has included Toyota, Ford, Subaru, GM/AC Delco, etc.
4. Networking with fellow teachers: You will have ample time to network with peers from around the state. This is time to build camaraderie and exchange ideas. Many have already signed up for the Summer Institute.
5. Expanding your partnerships: One of the benefits of the trainings is the ability to establish partnerships with industry experts / manufacturers and Wisconsin dealerships.
6. National Standards: During the Summer Institute, WATDA offers trainings to go over national standards. In addition to the standards, we offer competition certificates to count toward reaching the 20 hours of industry update training each year.

Cost: FREE (includes any expenses for the facility, food, drinks, field trip bussing, speaker expense, etc.) You must provide your own transportation to the training location.
