Wisconsin Career Readiness Summit Seeks Presenters

This year’s Wisconsin Career Readiness Summit, being held August 13 and 14, 2024, is currently seeking presenters for breakout sessions. Submit your idea using this form by March 1, 2024.

The Summit, hosted by Wisconsin CESAs in collaboration with the Wisconsin DPI, promises to be the biggest career readiness event of the summer! This conference is designed for CTE educators, counselors, coordinators, administrators, business and industry professionals, economic development organizations, and higher education partners—in other words, anyone who is passionate about preparing students for successful careers in today's rapidly changing workforce.

Over the course of two days, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about best practices, innovative programs, and successful strategies for creating and growing career pathway programs for K-12 students that align with Wisconsin's CTE priorities.

Topics include:

  • Implementing the newly revised CTE standards
  • Developing career pathways that align with industry needs and student interests
  • Integrating academic and technical skills to prepare students for college and career success
  • Leveraging partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community colleges to enhance CTE programs
  • Incorporating work-based learning opportunities into CTE programs
  • Implementing innovative technologies and teaching methods to enhance CTE instruction
