Area Code of Assignment (Assignment, Aggregate Assignment)
Area Code of Assignment: WISEstaff (Aggregate Assignment, Assignment)
Area Code indicates the staff member's general area of assignment, their related work subject, and tasks. Area Codes are collected for assignment and aggregate (combined) assignment reports.
The Area Code must be a valid four-digit Area Code in the Position/Assignment table for the year reported. The acceptable Area Code format is four digits.
You may include padded leading zeros, but these are not required.
When entering the Area of Assignment for subcontractors in the Enter Aggregate Staff data field, the options are:
- bus driver,
- special ed bus driver,
- cafeteria worker, and
- maintenance worker.
Uses
This data element links a particular staff member to the reported area of his or her position and assignment records in WISEstaff.
FAQs, Details, and Points to Note
- Teachers with assignments for grades 7 and 8 cannot be reported as 53-0050, Teacher-Elementary All Subjects. You must report the specific subject(s) taught.
- Example: 53-0400, grades 07-08 (mathematics) 50 percent FTE, 53-0300, grade 08 (English) 50 percent FTE.
