This page includes a list of applications and their available roles in the WISEsecure application. Each role also has a brief description of the application features the role allows a user to access.

CTE Technical Incentive Grant

Admin The district Admin role can add and edit student records, submit their student roster, and view the final verification report.
View The district View role can view student records and final verification report.

DigitalBridgeK12

map User This user type can view their district maps and use filter options within the DigitalBridgeK12 tools.
map Admin This user type can do everything a "map User" can do with the addition of adding features to maps and additional data properties.
DPI State-Certified Credentials

Co-Op Admin

Able to perform all functions of the Teacher role as well as agree to program assurances, assign teachers to portfolios, and run district-specific reports.
Co-Op Teacher Able to add students to a portfolio, enter their completion status and score, print completion certificates.
Bi-literacy Admin View all, data entry for Seal of Bi-literacy program, runs district reports.
Global Scholar Admin View all, data entry for Global Scholars program, runs district reports.
Ed-Fi Credential Edit Access to the Vendor Subscription page.
Vendor Access to the Vendor page, including Profile, Credentials, and LEA Monitoring.
Vendor Support Access to the LEA Monitoring page.

IEP:

PTP District Users

Admin Manages access to the IEP: Postsecondary Transition Plan by using WISEsecure to assign one of the IEP: PTP roles listed below to a user.
District User Enters student data and locks completed records.
Super User Enters student data, locks completed records, unlocks completed records, submits records for DPI review.
Director of SpEd / Designee Enters student data, locks completed records, unlocks completed records, deletes unlocked records, submits records for DPI review, transfers student records between schools, and matches WSNs to students.
SAFE Admin Manages access to SAFE by using WISEsecure to assign one of the SAFE roles listed below to a user.
All Reports View reports and files associated with all topics available in SAFE.
Accountability Report cards View and access associated files. Available for both public and private schools.
ACT NCRC Workkeys View and access associated files.
High School Growth Preview Report View and access associated files. Available for both public and private schools.
Joint Federal Notification Packet View and access associated files.
Resource Inequity Data Tool View and access associated files.
Youth Risk Behavior Survey View and access associated files. Available for both public and private schools.
Inequitable Distribution of teachers Data View and access associated files.

School Directory

Directory Update

School Directory Update role allows users to view and update all district and school data for a district.

SD PI-1207   For private schools only this role also grants access to the PI-1207 private school report
Special Ed Portal - Preschool Transition Admin Responsibility for the Special Education Portal Preschool Transition Application Administrator role. Manages access to the Special Education Portal Preschool Transition application by using WISEsecure to assign one of the Preschool Transition roles listed below to a user.
LEA Admin Views notifications and referrals received from the Birth to 3 Program, completes Indicator 12 reporting, enters contacts to receive LEA notification and referral email alerts.
LEA User Views notifications and referrals received from the Birth to 3 Program, completes Indicator 12 reporting.
Special Ed Portal - Pupil NonDiscrimination District Admin Access to the report is established through WISEsecure. Each school district must have an application administrator and an application user for the Special Ed Portal - Nondiscrimination application.
Special Ed Portal - Cyclical Indicators Admin Manages access to the Special Education Portal cyclical/as needed applications (Procedural Compliance Self-Assessment, Indicator 11 Timely Initial Evaluations, Indicator 8 Parent Survey, Disproportionality: Procedural Compliance Self-Assessment) by using WISEsecure to assign one roles listed below to a user.
Read Only View records only.
District User Enters and locks data for a cyclical/as needed application.
Super User Enters, locks, and submits data for a cyclical/as needed application: Note: This role is not available for all cyclical/as needed applications.
Director / Designee Enters student data, locks completed records, unlocks completed records, submits records for DPI review.
Special Ed Portal - Early Childhood Admin Manages access to the Special Education Portal Early Childhood applications (Indicator 7 Child Outcomes) by using WISEsecure to assign roles listed below to a user.
Read Only View records only.
District User Enters student data and locks completed records.
Director / Designee Enters student data, locks completed records, unlocks completed records, submits records for DPI review.
WISEdata Finance Agency Currently, this is the only role available to users for WISEdata Finance. Users with this role can access WISEdata Finance to verify financial data pushed from the LEAs finance vendor and view validations and addenda.
WiSFiP Finance Data Administrator Role This user role is responsible for the: aid certification module, annual report module, budget report module, debt schedules module, referenda modules, school level reporting modules, and the tax levy module. This role does not access any personally identifiable information (PII) for students. The person who is the Finance Data Administrator can be the same person holding the Student Data Administrator, or each role can be held by a separate person.
Student Data Administrator Role This user role is responsible for the: Chapter 220 module, the high-cost special education module and the pupil count module. This role does access student level data (i.e., personally identifiable information (PII)). The person who is the Finance Data Administrator can be the same person holding the Student Data Administrator, or each role can be held by a separate person.
WISEadmin Portal Agency Application user role allows access to the WISEadmin Snapshot Calendar, WISEdata Agency Contacts, Data Errata features.
District Admin Application user role allows access to all WISEadmin functionality: Administrator Acknowledgment, view and acknowledge Cyber Security Incidents, submit Data Errata, submit District Library Plan, view Snapshot Calendar, and access to update/change WISEdata Agency Contacts.
Tech Coordinator Application user role allows user to view and acknowledge Cyber Security Incidents.
WISEdash for Districts Admin Manages access to WISEdash by using WISEsecure to assign one of the WISEdash roles listed below to a user.
Student Detail Analyst The Student Detail Analyst role can view all summary dashboards, drill into the student list/student profile, utilize student search to access student profile. Not able to view Homeless Status information, Migrant Status Information, or Economic Indicators (Economic Disadv Status filter or Econ Disadv Code and Description on the Student Profile). Not able to view FAFSA data.
Economic Indicator Analyst The Economic Indicator Analyst can view all summary dashboards, drill into the student list/student profile, utilize student search to access student profile, view Homeless Status information, view Migrant Status Information, view the Economic Disadv Status filter, view the Econ Disadv Code and Econ Disadv Description on the Student Profile. Not able to view FAFSA data.
Detail FAFSA Access The Detail FAFSA role can view all summary dashboards, drill into the student list/student profile, utilize student search to access student profile. Able to view FAFSA data. Not able to view Homeless Status information, Migrant Status Information, or Economic Indicators (Economic Disadv Status filter or Econ Disadv Code and Description on the Student Profile).
Economic FAFSA Access The Economic FAFSA role can view all summary dashboards, drill into the student list/student profile, utilize student search to access student profile, view Homeless Status information, view Migrant Status Information, view the Economic Disadv Status filter, view the Econ Disadv Code and Econ Disadv Description on the Student Profile. View FAFSA data.
Summary Analyst The Summary Analyst role can view all summary dashboards. Not able to drill into the student list/student profile or utilize student search to access student profile. Not able to view the Homeless Status, Migrant Status, or Economic Disadv Status filter. Not able to view FAFSA data.
Snapshot Prep Role This role has access to the WISEdash Snapshot dashboards only. Such access allows users to work with any snapshot dashboard in reconciling data and further allows users to drill into each dashboard and see student detail data. This access also includes access to economic data both at the summary and detail levels.
WISEdata Portal Agency Application user has access to all WISEdata Portal data, including the ability to acknowledge warnings, and update agency contacts.
Agency Read Application user has view-only access to WISEdata Portal data. No changes can be made.
WISEgrants WISEgrants Administrator A WISEgrants Administrator has edit access rights to an Agency’s grant applications with the ability to establish “edit” or “view only” access for the Agency’s WISEgrants Users. No limit on WISEGrants Administrator assignments.
WISEgrants User Has “edit” or “view only” access to an Agency’s grant applications as assigned by an Agency’s WISEgrants Administrator.
WISEid Admin District agency user role includes the highest level of district WISEid functionality (view, upload, and report access). Ability to update agency contacts, process Change Requests, and update WISEsecure Role.
Data Entry Data Entry is a district user role with many of the same access abilities as WISEid Agency Admin role. This role CAN update agency contacts and process Change Requests. However, this role doesn't allow edits to WISEsecure Role field which can be used in WISEsecure to grant users permissions to DPI applications.
Support Support is a district role that does the same as the WISEid Agency Data Entry role except can't edit Agency Contacts and can't edit person records (only create).
View View application user has view-only access to WISEid data. No changes can be made.
WISEsecure DPI Admin DPI security administrator will grant authority to use WISEsecure to a District Security Administrator (DSA). WISEsecure allows District Security Administrators and Application Administrators to securely assign or revoke user access to WISEhome applications.
District Security Administrator (DSA)  District Security Administrator (DSA) can either be the district superintendent or a staff member the superintendent has chosen to act as a delegate DSA. The DSA receives Application Administrator access for each application and also receives Application User access for the same applications so they can immediately begin to log in and use them. The DSA can assign staff members as Application Administrators (for example, WISEid or WISEdash for Districts). Only the DSA has this capability.
Application Administrator Application Administrators have the ability to assign Application User access for their assigned applications. The District Security Administrator may assign the role of Application Administrator to themselves should new WISEhome applications be introduced after their DSA access has been granted.
WISEstaff Admin The WISEstaff Admin is a district agency user role that includes the highest level of WISEstaff functionality (view, upload, and report access). Includes ability to complete update agency contacts, and complete WISEstaff Preliminary and Final Certifications. NOTE: Most district staff who submit WISEstaff data should also have access to the WISEid Admin role.
Data Entry Data Entry is a district agency user role that has all same functions of the WISEstaff district agency Admin role at this time. This role can also update agency contacts.
Support WISEstaff Support is a district agency user role that only allows updating existing staff Assignments and Contract and creating Entity ID Change Requests. Also includes access to the reports.
View View is a district agency user role with view-only access to WISEstaff data and reports.
