Primary Learning Device Access: Digital Equity

This data element records whether the student's primary learning device is shared or not shared with another individual. This information is meant to describe how consistently and reliably a student has access to their primary learning device.
Referred to as "Device Access" for the 2022-23 school year. For the 2023-24 school year Digital Equity Survey the question about 'device access' (shared/not shared) was separated from 'device provider' (personal/school).

Personal -Dedicated | The student's primary learning device is a personal device and is not shared with anyone else in the household. |
Personal - Shared | The student's primary learning device is a personal device and is also used by others in the household. |
School Provided - Dedicated | The student's primary learning device is provided by their school and is not shared with anyone else in the household. |
School Provided - Shared | The student's primary learning device is provided by their school and is also used by others in the household. |
None | The student does not have access to a device for learning. |
