Internet Performance in Residence: Digital Equity
This data element records the reliability of a student's Internet access in their primary residence. Internet performance quality determines whether the students can complete a full range of learning activities, including streaming video and uploading assignments without interruptions caused by poor Internet performance.
For the purpose of this data element, Internet performance is measured by a student's ability to stream video on their primary learning device without interruption.
The question for this data element on the 2023-24 SY Digital Equity Survey is:
Can the student stream a video on their primary learning device without interruption?

|Yes||The student experiences very few or no interruptions in learning activities caused by poor internet performance in their primary place of residence.|
Sometimes (not consistently)
|The student regularly experiences interruptions in learning activities caused by poor internet performance in their primary place of residence.|
|No||The student is unable to complete learning activities due to poor internet performance in their primary place of residence.|
