Session Begin and End Date
Session Begin and End Date: Roster
Begin Date and End Date are collected to define the specific time span of the term. These dates should belong to the school year for which the data is submitted. These are required fields. The End Date should always be later than or equal to the Begin Date, such as when a student has only a one-day enrollment to complete a competency test.

These data elements associate a school session a specified time frame.
FAQs, Details, and Points to Note
- "School Year" as defined by State Statute 115. 001(13) means the time commencing with July 1 and ending with the next succeeding June 30.
- "School Term" as defined by State Statute 115.001(12) means the time commencing with the first school day and ending with the last school day that the schools of a school district are in operation for attendance of pupils in a school year, other than for the operation of summer classes.
- "Session" as defined by State Statute 115.001(14) means the time during a school term that the schools of a school district are operated for the attendance of pupils.
