Bilingual Program: WISEstaff

Bilingual Program refers to whether or not the staff member teaches in a state or locally-funded bilingual education program. Leave this field blank when it's not required for a given position and area code combination. This value is required only for positions 53, except 53-0002 and 53-0003, and for assignment 84/0000 Speech/Language Pathologist. See annual staff collection documentation for which assignment position and area code combinations require this question to be answered.

Bilingual Program Response Code Description/Comments
Y (Yes) Employee teaches in a state or locally-funded bilingual education program.
N (No) Employee does NOT teach in a state or locally-funded bilingual education program.

USES: This data element tracks information on a particular staff member's position and assignment records reported in WISEstaff to Bilingual/ESL reporting and is used for LEAD licensing audits.
