CTE Department

CTE Department: Career Education

The CTE Department represents one of the six Career and Technical Education departments. Each CTE course needs to be identified with the appropriate CTE Department. Some CTE courses can be taught by multiple CTE licensed teachers. CTE courses are used to compile the Civil Right compliance data required for Carl Perkins.

On the Courses download, note that in the CTE Department column, DPI has identified which departments can teach each course.

Uses

The CTE Department is used for Civil Rights report for Perkins.

Program Area Type is now deprecated. It was collected with CTE Concentrator until 2024-25.
CTE Department is collected at the course level to look at CTE Participants in a single school year.
