We are updating the Appropriately Licensed indicator to show “N/A” when the assignment does not require a DPI license.

WISEstaff: Validate Staff Data Page Update

A filter reset button has been added to allow users to view all active errors and warnings after navigating to the page from one of the errors or warnings widgets on the Data Quality Dashboard.

WISEstaff: Hiring Agency Staff Report Big Fix

The Hiring Agency Staff report has received a bug fix. It now runs more efficiently and doesn’t time out, which was preventing results from displaying.

WISEstaff: Contract and Assignment Upload Process Improvement

There is a new validation for the Contract and Assignment upload processes. An error will now appear when birth year or school year values are not as expected.

WISEstaff: Run Validation Button Improvements

The Run Validation button has been renamed, and there are now tool tips on the Edit Contract and Edit Assignment pages to clarify button functions.

WISEstaff: Validation Warning 4034 Included in Nightly Validations

 Validation Warning 4034, Missing Entity ID, is now included during nightly statewide validation jobs. Entity IDs are a vital aspect of the WISEstaff Final Certification. If a staff member does not have an Entity ID, this means that there is a staff member in a position that requires "X" license but that this license has not yet been finalized and approved. As soon as someone applies for their license in the ELO system, an Entity ID is created, whether the license has been awarded or not.

WISEstaff: New Data Validation Widgets

There are new data validation widgets on the Data Quality Dashboard screen:

They will show a preview of any open issues from the Validate Staff Data page.

WISEstaff: New License Audit Result Indicator

There is a new license audit result indicator in the Public All Staff Report:

• A Y/N indicator will display on each staff assignment. The result is dependent on if the educator was properly licensed at the time of the audit.
  • This indicator will appear as audit results are available for each completed school year.

Licensing Downloads now exclude licenses with a status of “Merged”.

WISEstaff: Final Reporting Deadline (March 18^th) Reminder

The Final Reporting Deadline for 2024-25 Staff Data Collection is March 18, 2025. Visit the timeline on the WISEstaff Data Collection webpage to see the full schedule. Find training and additional information the Staff Collection Checklist Steps 3 & 4 Slides.

Additional updates were made to internal reports that DPI will use to conduct data quality outreach to districts with assignment or contract data that may need review before submitting final certification.

WISEstaff: Updated Gender Field in Reports

The following reports will now display “X” in the Gender field to reflect non-binary staff:

• Hiring Agency Staff Report, Working Agency Staff Report, Staff Corrections Form

The Gender field in each report will display “M” for male and “F” for female staff.

WISEid: Message Center/Alerts Screen

The Message Center, Alerts screen now shows student-specific alerts when viewing in WISEid and staff-specific alerts when viewing in WISEstaff.

• NOTE: There is an additional change coming later in November to remove outdated alerts.

• We released several fixes related to reports and data validations.
• We fixed the error that was throwing when generating Hiring Agency Staff or Aggregate Staff reports.
• We cleared validation errors and warnings 4055, 4430, 5700 that were falsely triggered.
• We restored LEA’s ability to select PK grade and retain PK grade when completing preliminary certification.
• We restored LEA’s ability to upload aggregate assignment FTE file when leading zeroes were not included in the column values for:
  • Hiring LEA code
  • Working LEA code
  • Assignment area code
• We removed the error that displayed when completing preliminary certification.
