Bug Fix: Person Upload Results now display

  • We fixed a bug that was preventing Person Upload Results from displaying when navigating to that page from the Alerts page when there was an active alert indicating that file upload errors existed. WISEid was filtering the file type, which prevented the applicable upload results from displaying.

Improved performance of the View Upload Results page

  • For some LEAs, it was taking 60+ seconds to display the page. We have reduced that so it takes less time for the page to fully display and be usable.

Restored access to the 2024-25 final licensing audit results in the Reports menu

  • Last year’s audit results were not viewable by LEAs when this year’s preliminary results were published, so we restored access for all LEAs.

Update to Landing Page

  • The default landing page when signing in to WISEid is now the Change Requests screen. If users have not verified their WISEid contacts yet for the current school year, they land on the Update Contacts screen. Otherwise, they land on the Change Requests screen when logging in.

Update to Change Request Alert Banner

  • The Change Request alert banner that displays when agencies have requests needing attention now indicates when an agency has change requests pending verification. This alert indicates that the agency has submitted change requests not yet verified, meaning the changes have not been applied to the affected WISEids. Agencies should review all change requests with a status of Pending District Verification and approve them so that the changes are applied to the WISEid.

User’s Agency Now Displays with Person Change History

  • We added the agency associated to the user who made a change to staff or student WISEid data to the Person Change History screen. This helps anyone researching WISEid changes to more quickly identify which district or school to contact when more information is needed about why a change to demographic data was made.

Bug Fix

  • On January 14th, we fixed a bug in which the Person Change History screen was not showing any history.

WISEstaff:

Improved Grades Question Logic

  • We removed the grades question from the Add/Edit Assignment page when grades are not required for the selected assignment. Previously, the grade boxes appeared but were not required. Now, to avoid confusion, the grade boxes do not appear for assignments that don’t require grades to be collected.

Bug Fix

  • We fixed a bug on the Working Agency Staff report that showed duplicate assignments for staff who have assignments in multiple districts.

WISEstaff: Bug fixes

  • We fixed an issue affecting some districts that showed assignment or contract records were “committed” on the View Upload Results page when the file upload status was “fault.” WISEstaff was not creating any records when the file did not finish processing. Now, the number of records committed will show “0” when the file status is “fault”.
  • We fixed an issue that caused the Save and Run Validation process to time out when saving changes on the Edit Assignment page. Now, WISEstaff processes the change, runs validation on the record, and displays the validation result when finished.

WISEstaff:

We have fixed two bugs in WISEstaff:

Staff Collection Checklist:

Tasks 3a and 4a, which represent availability of licensing audit results, were showing as completed for the 2025-26 school year even though audits have not yet been conducted. The status has been corrected and will now only show the checkmark once your LEA’s audit results are available.

Validate Staff Data:

Warnings 4212 and 4213, which indicate teachers’ salaries that fall above or below the standard thresholds, were falsely triggering for many LEAs. We corrected the logic, and the falsely generated warnings will clear out after the next statewide validation, which will be Wednesday morning, 10/29. Any warnings that generate after today are legitimate.

WISEstaff:

The automated process that looks for Entity ID matches between WISEid and ELO no longer requires an assignment record to include staff in the Entity ID lookup. Anyone with a Staff Local Person ID who does not already have an Entity ID is included in the automated search. This should help reduce the number of missing Entity IDs for LEAs.

WISEid:

The Birth State list in WISEid now includes additional U.S. territories, such as American Samoa and Guam.

The Parent/Guardian data has been cleaned up for student WISEid records to remove exact duplicates. This data is used when reviewing WISEid matches, so users now have fewer matches to review and can identify the correct student’s WISEid more quickly.

The Person Change History screen has a new comment for changes that come from the WISEdata update job. The former comment “WISEdata LRK Update Job” is now “WISEdata WISEid Automated Sync”.

WISEstaff:

On the Audit Results screen (under the Reports dropdown in the blue toolbar), the Working Agency filter now defaults to all agencies. This benefits CESA users and other agencies who hire staff for other districts or schools. Users can select a specific agency to narrow down their audit report to view only staff working in a certain district or charter school.
