Overview of District Assessment Coordinator (DAC) Responsibilities

The following is a very high level overview of District Assessment Coordinator responsibilities.  For more detailed deadlines and specific dates go to the calendar under each assessment.

 

September

ACT/ACT WorkKeys
  • Submit DAC and DTC Update form

ACT Aspire
  • Clean up users in the Aspire portal. Remove users no longer employed by the district.

ACCESS for ELLs
  • W-APT Screener Administered to new ELLs
  • WSLS/ISES updates
  • Log into the WIDA AMS and begin assigning testing roles

DLM
  • Activate KITE Educator Portal account for new users
  • Individual Student Reports become available in KITE Educator Portal; print and send home to families

Forward
  • Update DAC and DTC
  • Clean up user permissions in eDIRECT. Remove permissions and inactivate any user no longer employed by the district
  • Keep SIS current and regularly push data to WISEdata.

NAEP
  • Informational packet sent to schools
  • Register on MySchool
  • Update School information on MySchool

October

ACT/ACT WorkKeys
  • Communicate test dates to relevant team members

ACT Aspire
  • Communicate test dates to relevant team members

ACCESS for ELLs
  • Finalize testing roles in WIDA AMS (test coordinators, technology coordinators, test administrators)
  • Oversee training (wida.us website)
  • Ensure technology coordinators download testing software and run system checks
  • Test Ordering including Braille/Large Print and Alternate ACCESS for ELLs
  • WSLS/ISES data submission period closes

DLM
  • Updated manuals posted
  • Begin to upload enrollment, user and roster files using new templates

Forward
  • DTC Training Presentation via Webinar
  • DAC receives eDIRECT Log in for new administration and may begin to assign user permissions
  • Technology User Guide Available
  • Technology Readiness Package Available
  • Managing Users in eDIRECT Guide Available

NAEP
  • Student "e-file" list submission

November

ACT/ACT WorkKeys
  • Manage test participation in PANext
  • Accommodation Q & A Training Session for the ACT (webinar)
  • Submit accommodations requests to ACT

ACCESS for ELLs
  • Ensure all EL data in ISES is up to date (first two weeks) for data extraction
  • Test setup window opens (fourth week)
  • Ensure Training is completed by all roles
  • Final AMAO notification sent

DLM
  • Begin to download updated secure browser onto testing devices
  • Begin to upload enrollment, user and roster files using new templates

  • Managing Uses in eDIRECT Guide Available
  • Registration for DAC pre-test training available

NAEP
  • Student "e-file" list submission

December
